Our life is full of contradictions and opposites that maintain and reproduce the dynamic systems within which we adapt to certain rules according to our opportunities. The resulting stress - be it ideological or structural - constantly surrounds us and affects our environment, our conception of reality and each one of us every day in dialectical interplay. With my pictures I want to show the stresses of everyday life and lay primarily a special emphasis on construction of peace in contrast to the hustle of the city, as well as the pervasive historical remain. With the choice of analogue photography, I think I can take this into account. Film over digital photography has the advantage that it slows down the process of photographing and allows me to concentrate the focus on the essentials and to gain full control.
